Established in 2004 and originally from Brighton, England, we played the UK party and festival scene for years gradually growing in size and show, leading to recording our first album ‘Extra Arms & Extra Ears’ (released with ‘Chi-Qi Music’ in 2007). It was all about the groove, and the mélange of funk, folk, reggae, hip-hop and world music that we had created; although things did occasionally get carried away elsewhere. Taking a new direction and the act around the world, teaming up with other great musicians in South Korea, West Africa, and New Zealand, the resulting second album (released with ‘WEAL Entertainment’) is an eclectic mix of all the styles we play and a little something more, composed and recorded in its own time. The project got shelved in 2015 to focus on family, but now Vogue Gyratory is back with a new live 5-piece show playing our original music including new compositions; a new album is currently being recorded and is expected to be released in 2025.
